Corporate Aviation
Many businessmen purchase airplanes for use in their business, and find it to be an additional and unwanted responsibility. It seems that every time you turn around, there is something else to be done to get or keep the thing flying and it all costs money. Add to that the difficulty in scheduling the maintenance around your needs and wants for flying time, and it begins to seem like owning the airplane is a burden more than a pleasure.
Engage Douglas Aviation to do all that work for you, and put the fun back in flying. For a small management fee, Douglas Aviation will secure hangar space (at a nearby airport if none is available at the desired airport), maintain the log books in a secure area, keep track of when maintenance will become due and see to it that it gets done when you are not using the airplane, provide you with any other managed aircraft for use should yours be unavailable (for maintenance reasons) on demand, AND provide a Commercial Pilot to conduct the flight so you can conduct business enroute, or simply to accompany you into weather conditions beyond your comfort level.
The general arrangement between us will be a flat monthly fee credited to a debit account maintained by Douglas Aviation on your behalf.
From your debit account, the following deductions will be made by Douglas Aviation:
Monthly management fee of $100
Hangar rent at the lowest rate we are able to negotiate with airport management*
The actual fuel expended while conducting authorized flights
Pilot services at
$300 per diem plus expenses for the pilot while out of town on cross
country flights
Instruction in your aircraft at $50/hr
Actual maintenance costs as billed
Actual insurance costs at rates lower than you pay now
* Presently, Douglas Aviation does not directly control any hangars.
To your debit account, the following credits will be made by Douglas Aviation:
Douglas Aviation will agree to provide Pilot services for any flight you request, regardless of who occupies the aircraft. You may advertise your airplane for rent to earn additional income and instruct Douglas Aviation to provide the pilot services subject to our agreement. Your airplane may generate sufficient income to offset the insurance and maintenance costs!
Hiring Douglas Aviation to manage your airplane will relieve you of all the chores associated with ownership, and even the chore of flight planning if you wish. Management will consolidate all of the costs into a single monthly payment to a single entity, and the airplane will be in pristine condition, ready to start the engines upon your arrival at the FBO.
